Renewal series definition (format tab)

The fields on this screen are the same for "by days" and "by issues" renewal series. When defining a renewal series you must fill in the fields on the "Links," "Format," and "Efforts" tabs.

Print publication name…

QuickFill lets you specify whether or not you want to print your publication's name on your renewal notices. (Click here for a sample renewal notice with the publication name on the top and bottom portions. ) These fields apply to standard notices and mail-merge notices. The default is to print the publication name on the top and bottom portions of renewal notices. If you would like to change the default, click on either one of these fields or on both of them (depending on whether or not you want to print the publication name any where on your notices) so that the check mark disappears.

Print purchase order number of prior order on the notices

Leave this field unchecked if you do not want QuickFill to print the purchase order number for the orders you are trying to renew on your notices. Otherwise, check this field and QuickFill will print prior purchase order numbers on your renewal notices. (Click here to see how the purchase order text and number are positioned on the notices. )

Document descriptors

Use these fields to tell QuickFill what document descriptors to print on your renewal notices. The first line of the document descriptors is used to specify the form title. (For example, you might use "SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL" as the form title.) This text appears on the top and bottom portions of a notice. The text "Please return this portion." appears on the left side just below the address block, and the text "FOR YOUR RECORDS" appears on the bottom two lines of a notice. (Click here for a sample renewal notice. )

If you want to use "SUBSCRIPTION" as the first word in a form title for a publication that is not defined as a periodical (click here for details on publication types), enter "SUBSCRIPTION*" for the form title. If you omit the asterisk, the word "SUBSCRIPTION" will be dropped.

When you're done, click on "OK" to save your changes.
